The PCT way is not applicable, and there are two ways to apply for patent protection grant in Macao:

2. There are three ways for applicants in mainland China to apply for patent protection grant in Macao: 

 (1) For the invention patent that has been submitted in mainland China and obtained the filing notice but has not been disclosed, the documents to be submitted include: 1) notarized power of attorney; 2) filing notice.

 (2) For the invention patent that has been submitted, disclosed but not granted in mainland China, the documents to be submitted include: 1) notarized power of attorney; 2) Disclosure application of the invention patent.

(3) For invention patents that have been granted in China, the documents to be submitted include: 1) notarized power of attorney; 2) A copy of the patent register; 3) Patent descriptions. For the granted invention patent, an application for extension shall be submitted to the Economic Affairs Bureau within 3 months after the announcement of the grant of patent right is published in the Patent Gazette of the State Intellectual Property Office.
