Inventions in Netherlands

The invention application system in Netherlands is different from that in China. The protection of inventions are granted without substantive examination, but the applicant is required to propose the novelty search request within 13 months since the applying date.

Design in Netherlands

The design in Netherlands is registered and protected by BOIP (Benelux Office for Intellectual Property). BOIP is supervised by the administrative committee of Benelux Economic Union, and BOIP is responsible for registration and protection of design and trademark in Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands. The design approved by BOIP will take effect in these three countries automatically.

1.Dutch invention: 20 years since the application date

2.Design: 5 years since the applying date, which can be renewed for 4 times, each time for 5 years, and the maximum protection period is 25 years.

6.Please provide English names and addresses of applicants and inventors; otherwise we will do the translation

7.Confidentiality examination request and duplicate copy of the priority request (Provided by us later)

8.The power of attorney for international patents (Provided by us later)

4.Six-sided views of products (diagram)
